The Perfect for Garden Entertaining

Garden Dining Area

The Main dining area is moved slightly away from the house, giving it more of the evening sun and surrounding the guests with the plants and garden. Providing some shelter from the sun with a single pergola, but not blocking it.

Morning Coffee spot

This secondary seating area near the house makes use of the space nearest the property for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening without having to travel too far into the garden to enjoy it.

The Garden Design Features...

A Garden Single-Style, Corner Pergola in White
The white of this pergola matches the window paint treatments of the property really connecting the garden with the house. It also adds real definition to the space, providing a sense of privacy from the rear and enveloping the diners in the sweet scent of roses.

A Secluded Garden Bench area
at the rear of the space which takes the user away from the house and envelops them in the garden.

An Garden Arbour for Secluded Seating
Facing out onto the lawn, this Arbour gives the client an opportunity to admire the house and garden whilst also giving a clear sight line to the lawn, important for when younger guests are in attendance.

A Wildlife Friendly Garden

'We love to come outside and simply enjoy watching the bee's. It's incredible how much wildlife there is now in our garden'

The clients wanted to make sure that wildlife was given a suitable home in their garden. With the inclusion of deep planting bends with successive blooms, hedging and a single style avenue of near-native trees; pollinators, mammals such as hedgehogs and animals such as birds were all catered for. The garden has seen a real boost in it's wildlife visitors since the garden design implementation.

This was also aided by....

Geranium 'Rozanne' with its blue purple blooms set against natural grey sandstone paving, giving that classic cottage garden feel
natural Kandla grey sandstone curved garden path through a white pergola
curved garden path through a white pergola approaching an area for entertaining and dining with garden dining table and chairs
modern cottage style planting with spires of white and purple blooming flowers mixed with ornamental grasses

....Modern Cottage style Planting Design

Cottage style planting is great for wildlife with it's successional blooms and flowers of all shapes, sizes and colours. The inclusion of different plant types such as shrubs and ornamental grasses are also fabulous for wildlife, but gently and graceful mingled together they give an updated cottage style of planting to this garden.

Cohesion between Garden and House...

Brickwork in a low Garden Retaining Wall

The low wall at the rear of the property retains a small level change but also brings the brick of the house into the space by using a facing brick that closely matches that which the house is built from. This allows the house to sit perfectly in the garden.

"Amber has totally transformed our front and back gardens. The combination of traditional materials and inspired planting has created a peaceful and harmonious space we shall enjoy for years to come. The inclusion of a pergola was inspiring creating a 'room' within the garden. The climbing roses are already blooming, we cannot wait to see them rambling all over the structure next year. The variety of insects we now have is phenomenal; the bees on the salvias have given us untold joy. Our garden was planted only 4 months ago but already it is full of colour, testament to the quality of Amber's plant providers. It was a pleasure to have Amber working for us. Her up-beat, 'can do' positive attitude was tremendous. We cannot recommend her highly enough."
